Project of the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University
IRN: AP08051983
Project Relevance
Currently, the Ministry of Agriculture and agricultural producers face a number of important tasks aimed at increasing the production and export of livestock products, primarily meat and milk, as well as improving their quality and safety. One of the ways to address these challenges is the development and use of multifunctional feed additives based on natural biologically active components. Such additives stimulate physiological and biological processes in animals, resulting in increased productivity without the use of hormonal or antibiotic growth promoters. The project is in line with the State Program for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2021.
Considering the above, the research topic is highly relevant, and its results have practical significance for feed production and animal husbandry.
Project Objective
To study the effect of developed multifunctional feed additives on animal productivity while assessing the quality and safety of the resulting livestock products.
Scientific Novelty
The novelty and originality of the research lie in the use of biologically active natural components in feed additives enriched with plant-derived preparations capable of stimulating physiological and biological processes in animals, thereby improving their productivity.
Area of Application
Veterinary and sanitary expertise, feed production, and animal husbandry.
Project Background
The project is a logical continuation of previous research carried out under projects No. 0115RK00467, 0115RK00481, 0112RK01347, and others.
Main Results
As a result of the project, formulations of seven feed additives were developed and tested under production conditions. The additives contained, individually or in combination:
The microbiological safety of both the components and the finished feed additives was evaluated. Productive performance indicators of animals after the application of the feed additives were determined.
