USE OF ENRICHED FEED TO INCREASE MEAT PRODUCTIVITY AND NUTRITIONAL VALUE OF QUAIL MEAT

To increase the meat productivity of quails, increase production volumes and quality of poultry products, it is necessary to include non-traditional additives in the poultry diet that help normalize metabolic processes and improve the digestibility of feed nutrients. The article presents the results of studies of meat productivity and nutritional value of meat of Texas breed quails when using feed enriched with the phytobiotic BioFeed-P and the inclusion of extruded corn in the diet. Thus, when feeding the quails of the experimental group with mixed feed according to the developed recipe, an advantage in live weight by the end of the experiment was revealed by 3.84 % or 12.5 g. The absolute weight gain in the experimental group was 59.6 g, while in the control it was 45.5 g. An advantage was also noted when studying the chemical composition of meat from the experimental groups; the protein component was higher in the experimental group and amounted to 21.89 %. The percentage of fat was slightly higher in the experimental group by 3.16 %. There were no significant differences between groups in ash content. Thus, the work is of interest to specialists in the field of poultry farming and animal feeding, and can also be useful in preparing diets for fattening quails.
