Publication date:16.07.2025

From July 16 to 23, 2025, within the framework of the AP23484620 project "Development and implementation of phytogenics and phytobiotics for the prevention and treatment of animal mastitis with an assessment of the quality and safety of milk", a scientific internship was held at the West Georgian Regional Chromatography Center at the Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University.

The internship program included theoretical and practical classes on methods for determining the chemical composition of phytobiotics using modern analytical equipment. Special attention was paid to the method of chromatographic analysis used in the study of biologically active compounds included in phytogenics and phytobiotics. The chemical composition of the manufactured plant extracts was determined, which showed high antimicrobial and antifungal activity against the causative agents of animal mastitis.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the leadership of Batumi State University (BSU), during which key areas of further cooperation were discussed, including the expansion of scientific cooperation, the implementation of joint research and the exchange of experience.

Upon completion of the internship, a certificate of scientific training was awarded, confirming the acquisition of practical skills in analyzing the chemical composition of samples and working with modern analytical equipment.

The internship was an important step in strengthening international cooperation and integration of scientific communities in the field of veterinary medicine, food safety and innovative methods of prevention and treatment of diseases in animals. The knowledge and experience gained will contribute to the realization of the project objectives and the further development of scientific research.
