Internship at Southwest University, Chongqing (PRC): Development of International Scientific Cooperation

From December 19-23, 2025, the head of project AP23484620, Yu.A. Balji, undertook a working visit to the city of Chongqing (People’s Republic of China) with the aim of developing international scientific cooperation and conducting joint research at Southwest University.

A key element of the visit was the internship at Southwest University, one of the leading scientific and educational centers of Southwest China. During the visit, working meetings were held and prospects for joint activities were discussed with representatives of the following faculties:

  • College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chinese Medicine – Lei Luo,
  • College of Animal Science and Technology – Yawang Sun,
  • College of Food Science – Liang Ma,
  • College of Collge of Agronomy and Biotechnology – Lui Dianqiu, Yonghong Zhou
  • as well as other relevant departments of the university.

Within the framework of the visit, experimental studies were conducted on the delivered plant extracts and a teat care product developed as part of the ongoing scientific project, and a certificate was issued.

The results obtained confirmed the strong scientific interest of Chinese colleagues in joint developments in the fields of phytobiotics, veterinary prevention, and functional feed and therapeutic–preventive products. Based on the outcomes of the visit, further areas of cooperation were identified, including the expansion of joint research, exchange of scientific data, and preparation of international publications.

The trip to Chongqing became an important step in strengthening international scientific ties and integrating domestic developments into the global scientific community. We look forward to further cooperation!
