🎓 From September 25 to October 2, 2026, representatives of Agrofirm Rodina LLP — Chief Veterinary Officer K.Zh. Tuyakov and Slaughterhouse Specialist Zh.T. Nazhikov — completed a professional development course at the Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine of S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University.
The course was entitled “Organization and Implementation of Veterinary and Sanitary Inspection of Animal Products at a Slaughterhouse.”
The training was conducted by Professors Yu.A. Balji and Zh.Sh. Adilbekov, and Associate Professor R.Kh. Mustafina. Theoretical lectures were complemented by practical training conducted directly at the slaughterhouse of Agrofirm Rodina LLP, the participants' workplace.
🔬 The training covered the main stages of veterinary and sanitary control, including animal reception, transportation and pre-slaughter holding requirements, ante-mortem veterinary inspection, monitoring of slaughtering procedures and hygiene, and post-mortem inspection of carcasses and internal organs.
Particular attention was paid to the sanitary assessment of slaughter products in cases of pathological changes, infectious and parasitic diseases, as well as sample collection, documentation of inspection results, and veterinary and sanitary decision-making.
🤝 Training at an operational production facility helps bridge theoretical knowledge and the everyday responsibilities of veterinary professionals. Such cooperation between the university and the agricultural enterprise contributes to the development of professional competencies and improves the quality of food safety control for animal products.
