The team of S. Seifullin KATRU under the supervision of NFT-KATU staff won 2nd place in the HACKATHON 3.0 “Innovation. Sustainability. Future” competition, held on April 16, 2026, at S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University and organized by the Auyl Party and the educational platform Acapedia. The event was dedicated to the search for innovative solutions and the development of youth projects aimed at a sustainable future.

More than 40 teams of university and college students took part in the competition, presenting innovative projects focused on sustainable development and the technological future. The event was covered by the national TV channel Qazaqstan: https://qazaqstan.tv/news/226071

Our team, “Vet Lab,” was represented by students of the Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine:

1. Yerassyl Tautanov – 3rd-year student, Educational Program “Veterinary Safety”,
2. Dariya Mussina – 4th-year student, Educational Program “Food Safety”,
3. Malika Shirinitdinova – 4th-year student, Educational Program “Food Safety”.

The project presented at the competition was entitled “PHYTOBIOTICS AND PHYTOGENICS FOR OBTAINING HIGH-QUALITY AND SAFE LIVESTOCK PRODUCTS”, aimed at addressing the following challenges faced by farmers:

• increasing milk productivity,
• reducing the incidence of mastitis,
• accelerating the recovery of milk productivity after disease,
• obtaining safe dairy products.

The students were awarded a certificate in the amount of 100,000 tenge.
