The invention relates to agriculture, specifically to the technology for producing extruded compound feeds. 

The technical objective of the invention is to develop a method for preparing extruded compound feed containing non-graded potatoes and phytogenics.

The technical result of the invention is achieved by producing extruded pellets or strands from grain raw materials with the addition of crushed and pressed non-graded potatoes, enriched with phytogenics.

The essence of the invention lies in the fact that non-graded potatoes are crushed to a fraction of 1-3 cm, pressed to a moisture content of 30-50%, and mixed with barley, wheat, oats, triticale, corn, peas, either individually or in combinations with each other, in either crushed or whole form. Phytogenics are added to the mixture in the form of a 20% extract of Artemisia absinthium (wormwood) and a 10% extract of Populus balsamifera (balsam poplar) buds, produced by Soxhlet extraction or infusion, which are pre-diluted in water. The resulting mixture is stirred for up to 15 minutes and extruded at a temperature of up to 150 ℃. To obtain a granulated product, extrusion is carried out using a pelletizing unit with dies ranging from 4 to 12 mm. The resulting extruded pellets or strands are cooled in a dryer or left to cool at ambient temperature for up to 24 hours.

The proposed method for preparing extruded compound feed containing non-graded potatoes allows for the efficient utilization of potato farming waste while enriching the animal diet with additional nutrients, thereby enhancing their productivity.
