Food safety is of key importance for the sustainable development of a country's economy (WHO, 2020). According to the Concept of Agricultural Development in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021–2030, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 960 dated December 30, 2021, the primary priority is ensuring food security and improving product quality [1]. One of the solutions in livestock farming and veterinary medicine that ensures the production of safe food is the use of phytobiotics and phytogenics as alternative supplements to antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents. The application of such preparations aims to enhance the resilience of Kazakhstan's agricultural sector and contributes to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2, 3, and 12). Additionally, it promotes environmental sustainability by minimizing the use of antibiotics, which are commonly administered in animal treatment.

For over 20 years, researchers at S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University have been studying the safety of livestock products in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The findings indicate that contamination of domestic and imported food products with various pollutants remains at a relatively high level [2].
