Abstract. The article discusses the extrusion process aimed at obtaining feed for farm animals, in particular such actions as loading raw materials, compressing them, homogenizing, extrusion. The main technological parameters influencing the quality of feed were revealed: the composition of the raw material, its mechanical structure, initial moisture content, temperature, pressure and duration of extrusion. The transformations of the main chemical elements of raw materials that occur during the extrusion process have been determined. The literature data on the results of feeding animals with extruded food are summarized. Literary search has shown that extruded feed has a positive effect on the productivity of various animal species, both young and adults.
