On October 28-31, 2025, our project IRN AP23484620, “Development and Implementation of Phytogenics and Phytobiotics for the Prevention and Treatment of Mastitis in Animals with an Assessment of Milk Quality and Safety”, was presented at the 15th International Symposium “Modern Trends in Livestock Production,” held at the Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade, Republic of Serbia.
At the symposium, we presented a scientific study dedicated to the use of plant-derived bioactive compounds for the prevention and treatment of mastitis in farm animals. During the report delivered by our international consultant – PhD, Associate Professor Galiya Zamaratska – the key research results were demonstrated, confirming the effectiveness of phytogenic and phytobiotic agents in reducing inflammatory processes and improving the overall health status of animals. Their positive impact on milk quality and safety was also highlighted, which is of great importance for the dairy sector. Special attention was given to the advantages of natural compounds as a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach capable of improving animal health and production efficiency in the long term.
The event brought together experts and researchers from Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Bulgaria, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and several other countries, providing a platform for experience exchange, discussion of modern trends, and innovations in livestock production. Participation in the symposium made it possible to expand professional connections and obtain valuable recommendations that contribute to the further development of the project.
Our research in the field of phytobiotics fully aligns with modern international trends and is consistent with current studies conducted in European countries.
We sincerely thank the Institute for Animal Husbandry in Belgrade for the high level of organization, the attentive attitude, and the excellent conditions provided for productive scientific exchange and discussion of key issues in livestock production.
