LLP АР23484620 «Development and implementation phytogenics and phytobiotics for prevention and treatment of animal mastitis with assessment of quality and safety milk».

Currently, there is a need in our country to develop our own production of veterinary drugs, which is the main goal of this project.

The project’s idea and novelty lie in using developed therapeutic and preventive phytogenics and phytobiotics from components of medicinal plants that grow in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The phytogenics will be in the form of extruded granules for animal feed, while the phytobiotics will be used as a means for treating udder teats after milking.

The final result of the project will be a prototype in the form of biopreparations ready for commercialization. These biopreparations will stand out in terms of safety and effectiveness compared to those currently available in the Kazakhstani market, allowing for the production of high-quality and safe dairy products.

Brief results for 2024:

A patent search with a depth of 30 years was conducted.

Experimental batches of biopreparations were manufactured.

Collection and preparation of plant materials (wormwood, balsam poplar buds, chamomile, hop cones, red pepper, plantain, milk thistle, chaga, savory, tansy, Siberian fir) was carried out. Extraction of the collected plant materials was carried out and 3 compositions of biopreparations were manufactured.

Chemical composition of experimental biopreparations, the main active biologically active components of the developed composite compositions were determined: total phenols, phenolic acids, flavonoids, catechins; their antioxidant activity was determined.

Compositions of therapeutic and prophylactic biopreparations were developed based on the chemical analysis. Scientific justification for each component of the biopreparations used was given.

Bactericidal and fungicidal properties of the developed biopreparations were studied. The following microorganisms were isolated: Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, Candida, Pseudomonas spp., Proteus. The influence of the developed formulations of biopreparations on the isolated microflora was studied. Antimicrobial activity was determined.
